HypnoBirthing is as much about teaching you relaxation techniques to use during birth, as it is about educating you on all the different possibilities you may be faced with during your pregnancy and birth so that you can decide on what are the right options for you and your family. Hyonobirthing is a great way to learn all about what your beautiful, capable body does in order to bring your child into your arms. It will help you understand what is normal in labour and birth. It's designed to help you let go of fear and start to begin to trust your body a little more, rather than just having the idea of birth from watching what the movies depict!
I am a mum to 2 kids I have a 16year old daughter and an almost 2 year old daughter, so I am experiencing 2 very different stages of parenting.
It was after the birth of my first daughter that I found my love of HypnoBirthing and realised the importance of being educated about birth and the choices that you may come up against during pregnancy and birth. As a naive first time mother I went into birth without any knowledge or plan for how I wanted my birth to go and because of this I was unable to make any decisions for me or my daughter during pregnancy and birth as well as with my breastfeeding journey afterwards.
Fast forward 15 years later and the birth of my second daughter was a very different experience, I was full of information and knew what I wanted and what I was willing to compromise on. I loved giving birth the second time around and found it to be an amazing and empowering experience, so much so I even asked my partner if we could have another one while I was still in the birthing suite!
